How to: Set/adjust margin level in Slide Master.
Solution:
To set margins, resize the objects on the screen in 'Slide Master'.
NOTE 1: Margins in PowerPoint are not fixed but are dependent on the position of the objects on the screen.
NOTE 2: To use a reference similar to fixed margins, position guides on the Slide Master.
1) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Master'. (The Master submenu appears.)
2) Select 'Slide Master'.
3) Select an object.
4) Click on one of the object's eight resizing handles. (The cursor changes to a double-headed arrow.)
NOTE: There are eight resizing handles around the border, one for each possible direction. Click on the resizing handle for the direction in which the object size is to be changed.

5) Drag the object to increase or decrease the size, and to achieve the desired margin space.
6) (Optional) Repeat steps 4) and 5) to change the object size in other directions.
7) Move the object to the desired location, to achieve the desired margin space.
